A one-step test to detect morphine in human urine
Opiates, such as heroin, morphine and codeine are made of opium resin produced from unripe poppy plants. Heroin and codeine get metabolized quickly to morphine and are excreted from the body in urine as morphine or morphine glucoronide. This test is a screening test, it is fast and sensitive. It detects the presence of morphine in human urine at concentrations above 300 ng/ml, even 5 days after drug use.
